College years is a period in your life when your time and scheduled get hijacked for 3 to 4 months at a time. Your tertiary institution decides when you do what and for how long you can do it. This goes on for approximately 3 months and then the pace slows down as you gear up for final exams. After exams there is a short break and then the hijacking start all over again. For 4 or more long years this goes on until you finally graduate.
STUDENT: “I NEED MORE MONEY”
Have you ever gone to college? Are you in college now? Then you would at least know how it feels to want more money. College students are always broke because most of their money or their parents’ money goes right into tuition fees. Unless you were born with a gold spoon in your mouth, then you understand what it feels like to go to college and be broke at some point or the other.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way for you to earn some extra pocket money in between classes, between study time, over the weekend or just about whenever you like? Yes!
FINDING A PART TIME JOB WHILE IN COLLEGE
For students going to college full-time it is usually hard to find a job to keep up with your changing schedule. Many students opt for weekend jobs, night jobs or ad hoc jobs. If you are skillful enough, you can use your own skills to make an income on the side. You could do something like comb hair, do manicures and pedicures between classes, type and proofread assignments for your schoolmates among other things.
You could do that or you can try earning extra money online by building a freelance business. You already have all the tools you need to get started. All that is required now is for you to actually get it done!

HOW DO I START A BUSINESS FREELANCING ONLINE?
Most freelance websites operate in a similar way. How People Per Hour, Supertasker, Freelancer, Upwork and Guru operate very similar. Every individual who wants to do business on these 5 websites, whether as a freelancer or as a client, must register as a member. Clients can either be a company or an individual.
These companies and individuals post projects on these websites every single day. As a freelancer, you can take advantage of those projects opportunities by submitting a proposal for a projects that you believe you are capable of completing. If your proposal is accepted, you complete the project and get paid.
Fiverr and Envato operate slightly different from the others. Rather than the freelancer working to close on a project with a client, on these 2 websites, the client is the one doing the searching.
As a freelancer you can post the service that you are offering for sale or a digital product that you have created. When a company or individual decides that they are looking for a particular service or product, they will go in search for it on these websites. As long as you are offering the kind of product or service that they are looking for, they can find your service based on keywords that they search for. When the client selects what they like, they pay for it and you either get to work to complete their project or you deliver your digital products and close the sale.
